Senior Tax Accountant – Flexible WFH (Melbourne)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established public practice firm in Macleod, Victoria, to find a Senior Tax Accountant. The role is primarily remote, with occasional (about once a month) visits to the office, and can be structured as either part‑time or full‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for a diverse portfolio of corporate and individual clients.
• Provide tax advisory and planning services, ensuring compliance with Australian tax legislation.
• Manage client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for tax matters.
• Collaborate closely with the Director on complex tax issues and business development initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the firm’s knowledge base.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with several years of experience in public practice tax work.
• Strong understanding of Australian tax law and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of client service.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client‑focused attitude.
