Executive Director, AI & Automation Research & Analysis

About the role

The Executive Director will lead the AI & Automation Research & Analysis team, shaping how the Institutional business uses AI, automation and process re‑engineering to transform credit work. This senior, hands‑on role combines deep credit expertise with technology insight to drive end‑to‑end credit process innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Set and drive the AI, automation and process transformation agenda across R&A and STM, aligned to business and risk priorities.
• Identify, prioritize and deliver high‑value AI and automation opportunities that improve efficiency, scalability and risk outcomes.
• Partner with Relationship, Risk, Technology, Operations and credit teams to translate business needs into practical technology‑enabled solutions.
• Lead design, implementation, adoption and benefits realisation of AI and automation initiatives, including business case development.
• Ensure strong risk management, governance, regulatory compliance and responsible AI practices are embedded in all solutions.

Required profile

• Deep institutional credit and lending expertise with a strong understanding of the end‑to‑end credit lifecycle.
• Proven transformation experience delivering AI, automation or process re‑engineering initiatives in a regulated environment.
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen, able to develop compelling business cases for investment.
• Exceptional stakeholder leadership and influence, bridging business and technology.
