Senior Manager, Finance & Accounts

About the role

Lead and manage the financial operations of SDP Australia's property development business. The role focuses on project finance, feasibility analysis, funding support, and commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timely reporting.
• Oversee month‑end closing, management reporting and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Support and review project feasibility models, including sensitivity analysis on costs, pricing and returns.
• Provide financial insights on GDV, NDP and cash flow to guide strategic decisions.
• Partner with development teams on budgeting, cost tracking and performance monitoring.
• Manage financing activities, lender engagement and preparation of financial information for audits and external advisors.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as BAS, GST and tax obligations.
• Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement enhancements to financial systems, reporting and workflows.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualification and a degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business.
• 8–12 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in property development or a related industry.
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership and drive solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail capabilities.
• Experience with feasibility analysis, project accounting or development finance is highly regarded.
