Senior Investment Operations Manager

About the role

The Senior Investment Operations Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day delivery, monitoring, due diligence and reporting of ANZ Staff Super’s investment operations function. The role ensures the fund’s investment arrangements are operated in members’ best financial interests and complies with governance, risk and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the Head of Investments, the Head of ANZ Staff Super and key service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Implement investment placements and related instructions, coordinating execution with investment managers, custodians and other service providers.
• Manage the fund’s liquidity and rebalancing requirements, monitoring cash‑flow needs and preparing implementation instructions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day investment operations activity, including onboarding, transitions, reporting, queries and issue resolution.
• Coordinate and monitor custodian activities such as settlements, reconciliations, data quality and service delivery.
• Monitor investment valuation processes, ensuring timeliness, completeness and reasonableness of inputs.
• Conduct operational due diligence on investment managers and service providers, documenting findings and tracking actions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in investment operations, preferably within superannuation, institutional investment or asset management.
• Proven ability to manage investment instructions, liquidity, settlements and custodian processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience supervising direct reports.
• Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, commerce, accounting or related discipline; postgraduate or professional qualifications are desirable.
