Senior Conference & Events Executive

About the role

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre, part of the Accor network, is looking for a Senior Conference & Events Executive. Reporting to the Conference & Events Sales Manager, you will coordinate events from handover through to completion, build strong client relationships and make sure every event runs smoothly. The venue can host up to 1,400 delegates and covers conferences, sporting groups, corporate events and exclusive-use experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of conferences, events, sporting groups and exclusive-use events.
• Prepare accurate Banquet Event Orders and coordinate requirements across clients and operational teams.
• Lead planning meetings, site inspections and pre-event briefings.
• Maintain strong client communication throughout the event lifecycle.
• Manage event billing, including payments, final invoicing, commissions and loyalty points.
• Maintain accurate event data and documentation using Delphi FDC.
• Work towards department KPIs such as client satisfaction and event delivery standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in conference and events coordination with a positive can-do attitude.
• Strong client service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail.
• Confidence working to KPIs and client satisfaction targets.
• Calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with event management systems; Delphi FDC is highly regarded.
