Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, a 373-room coastal resort with a conference and events centre and the Sola Restaurant & Bar, is looking for a Food & Beverage Supervisor. This is a hands-on role leading day-to-day operations across Sola and the conference and events spaces, working closely with the Food & Beverage Operations Manager. The resort is also undergoing a $20 million refurbishment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations across Sola Restaurant & Bar and the conference spaces
• Lead, coach and motivate the F&B team to deliver exceptional service
• Coordinate between kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Maintain high standards of service, presentation, hygiene and guest experience
• Assist with rostering, labour management and team performance
• Engage with guests, respond to feedback and resolve issues professionally
• Support new initiatives, promotions and events across the resort
• Help build a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality or food & beverage
• Hands-on approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Confident guest engagement and problem-solving skills
• Commercial awareness, including labour and cost control
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of F&B service standards and procedures
• Excellent communication and people leadership skills
