Senior Area Manager – 9 Stores in Western Australia

About the role

JD Sports is seeking a Senior Area Manager to lead a portfolio of nine stores across Western Australia. You will be accountable for a $60m+ revenue base, overseeing commercial performance, operational standards and the development of a high‑performing team of store managers and an Area Manager for SA/NT.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver area sales, profit and wage budgets, analysing financial performance to drive data‑led commercial strategies.
• Optimize stock flow, sell‑through and productivity metrics while protecting profit through shrink control and markdown discipline.
• Lead, coach and develop a network of Store Managers and an Area Manager, building a pipeline of multi‑site leaders.
• Ensure premium customer experience, brand consistency and visual merchandising standards across all locations.
• Maintain strong governance on compliance, health and safety, and operational excellence.
• Partner with national and support office leaders to shape area strategy and outperform market benchmarks.

Required profile

• Proven senior retail leadership experience managing multiple stores and a large revenue portfolio.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sales growth and profit protection.
• Demonstrated ability to develop people, build high‑performance cultures and manage succession pipelines.
• Experience overseeing new store openings and integrating operational discipline at scale.
