Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Senior Accountant to join our fast‑growing technology business. The role will own customer invoicing, month‑end close, group consolidation, cash‑flow reporting and broader financial reporting, offering a clear pathway to a Financial Controller position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer invoicing and related reporting.
• Lead month‑end financial close, including group consolidations, intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, cash‑flow statements and forecasts.
• Oversee Australian statutory compliance such as BAS, GST, Payroll Tax and insurance requirements.
• Drive process improvements and support ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification (or working towards completion).
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with strong technical knowledge.
• Experience with group consolidations and SaaS or subscription‑based business models.
• Commercially aware, quick learner, ambitious and able to work at pace.

Required skills

• Xero (general ledger and reporting).
• Syft Analytics for management reporting and consolidations.
• Group consolidations.
• SaaS subscription accounting (recurring revenue, deferred revenue, usage‑based billing).
• Australian statutory compliance (BAS, GST, Payroll Tax).
