Rehabilitation Consultant – Allied Health (First Nations Role)

About the role

This is a First Nations Identified Role for a qualified Allied Health professional who is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. You will work with Konekt to provide culturally safe, holistic rehabilitation services that help clients return to meaningful occupations.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise specialist knowledge to assist people in returning to meaningful engagement in occupations.
• Evaluate treatment and rehabilitation needs of workers with work‑related or non‑work‑related injuries or illnesses.
• Identify future employment or training options by reviewing transferable skills, qualifications and interests.
• Perform assessments such as functional capacity evaluations, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
• Manage cases to plan, coordinate and monitor client progress toward return‑to‑work goals.

Required profile

• Teritiary qualifications in an Allied Health discipline (OT, Physiotherapy, AEP, Psychology, Rehab Counselling, Social Work).
• Registration with the relevant professional body.
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment checks.

Required skills

• Specialist clinical knowledge in your Allied Health area.
• Ability to conduct functional capacity and ergonomic assessments.
• Case management and coordination skills.
