Medical Receptionist

About the role

Join our supportive team as a Medical Receptionist at the Footscray clinic of Western Private Hospital. This full‑time position involves front‑of‑house duties in a fast‑paced radiology environment, with occasional travel to nearby clinics such as Spotswood.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and manage all phone enquiries professionally and confidentially.
• Greet patients, manage front‑of‑house reception and maintain a clean waiting area.
• Schedule appointments for patients and referring doctors.
• Issue invoices/receipts and process Medicare rebates.
• Enter and update patient registration details accurately.

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation with a patient‑focused mindset.
• Eagerness to learn and ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail, confidentiality and excellent organisational skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a car for travel between clinics.

Required skills

• Experience in a radiology setting (highly regarded).
• Familiarity with Medicare services (highly regarded).
