Media Account Director – Paid Media

About the role

Join a rapidly expanding paid media team at a Melbourne social and content agency. The Media Account Director will lead strategic content campaigns, innovate, and shape media strategy for a portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of client accounts and act as a trusted strategic partner.
• Oversee and develop media strategy, strengthen client relationships and achieve business goals.
• Manage day‑to‑day campaign execution across integrated media channels.
• Mentor and manage a small team of three, providing direction and support.
• Drive new business growth through acquisition of new and organic clients.
• Develop integrated, data‑led media solutions and ensure briefs are on time, on brief and on budget.
• Provide strategic recommendations, create paid, owned and earned media briefs, and oversee annual client plans.
• Produce client reports and performance reviews.

Required profile

• Based in Melbourne with full working rights (no sponsorship required).
• Currently employed in a media agency.
• Minimum 5 + years experience in media buying or planning.
• Proven track record of meeting client expectations and managing relationships.
• Experience developing and managing media strategies.
