Senior PR Account Director – Influencer Focus (Contract)

About the role

This freelance senior leadership position is based in Sydney and is ideal for an experienced PR Account Director or a newly‑appointed Senior Account Director with a background in food, retail or FMCG. You will support the General Manager in delivering high‑impact consumer and corpsumer PR campaigns for major clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager to manage consumer and corpsumer PR & media campaigns.
• Act as a strategic trusted advisor, delivering end‑to‑end client experience.
• Develop PR strategies and new client/product offerings alongside the General Manager.
• Liaise with C‑suite level clients and oversee a team of Coordinators, Executives and Account Managers.
• Create engaging corpsumer PR campaigns and maintain up‑to‑date media lists.

Required profile

• Based in Sydney, Australia.
• Minimum 8 + years of public relations experience, preferably in an agency environment.
• Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape and corporate client work.
• Conceptual thinker, up‑to‑date with digital trends across web, mobile, audio, email and social platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with storytelling ability.

Required skills

• Experience managing large budgets and high‑profile clients.
• Ability to develop presentation decks with clear narratives.
