Manager – Business & Tax Advisory

About the role

KPMG is seeking an experienced professional to join its Mid‑Market & Private team as a Manager in Business & Tax Advisory. You will lead client engagements, mentor junior staff, and help grow a practice focused on China‑related cross‑border tax and business issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Australia‑based and China‑connected mid‑market and private clients, delivering tax and business advisory services.
• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery, including scoping, budgeting, resourcing and quality review.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders such as CFOs, owners and board members.
• Support the growth of KPMG’s China Business Practice by identifying opportunities and collaborating across Australia, China and the global network.
• Identify and progress new business opportunities, contribute to proposals and manage engagement economics.
• Coach and develop consultants and senior consultants, fostering technical capability in China‑related work.

Required profile

• Significant experience in tax and business advisory, preferably with cross‑border or China‑focused work.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage client relationships at senior level.
• Proven people‑leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent cross‑cultural understanding and communication abilities.
