About the role

Bells Functions, a premium waterfront venue in Elizabeth Quay, Perth, is looking for a Kitchen Hand to support its kitchen team in delivering high-quality food and a great guest experience. The role sits in the Chef & Kitchen department and involves food preparation, dishwashing, receiving deliveries and keeping food safety and workplace health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the chefs with day-to-day kitchen operations
• Assist with basic food preparation and ingredient handling
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment
• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Receive, store and manage stock deliveries
• Dispose of waste and help keep the kitchen and surrounding areas presentable
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
• Assist with other duties as required

Required profile

• Previous kitchen hand experience in a busy environment
• Able to work quickly and efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy items safely
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
