Guest Service Agent - Part-Time

About the role

Mercure Perth, located in the heart of the Perth CBD and part of the global Accor family, is looking for a friendly and professional Guest Service Agent. As the face of the hotel, you will welcome guests from check-in to check-out, handle front-desk operations and deliver a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly and set a positive tone for their stay
• Handle check-in and check-out smoothly and accurately
• Answer guest inquiries and resolve issues professionally
• Share information about hotel amenities, services and local attractions
• Cooperate with other departments to fulfil guest requests
• Keep the front desk tidy and organised
• Process payments and manage guest accounts
• Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and recommend hotel facilities to guests
• Offer and deliver valet parking services to guests arriving with vehicles

Required profile

• Proven customer service experience in a hospitality or hotel environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach
• Professional presentation and demeanour
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends

Required skills

• Proficiency in handling cash transactions and point-of-sale systems
• Preferred: previous experience with Opera (hotel property management system)
• Preferred: valid manual driving licence with valet parking experience
• Preferred: knowledge of Perth's local attractions and tourism offerings
• Preferred: hospitality or hotel management certification or training, and experience in a front-office or guest-facing role
