Head of Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller to lead Ranged’s internal finance function as Head of Finance. This hands‑on position will oversee the numbers across our Retail, Legal, Export, Corporate Advisory and CFO Advisory divisions, manage a team of bookkeepers and report directly to two Managing Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly reporting cycle across all five group divisions.
• Prepare consolidated management accounts and divisional performance reports.
• Develop and maintain financial KPIs, giving leadership clear visibility of performance against targets.
• Identify and drive performance improvement initiatives, including process efficiencies, margin and cost opportunities.
• Support Managing Directors with financial analysis and ad‑hoc commercial queries.
• Lead and review the bookkeeping team to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage cash flow, budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain Xero integrity across group entities.
• Liaise with external tax and compliance advisors.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head of Finance, Financial Controller or equivalent.
• Track record of building KPI frameworks and translating financial data into actionable insights.
• Experience managing or reviewing a bookkeeping team.
• High attention to detail with a focus on accurate numbers.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize across multiple entities.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of Xero.
• Comfortable owning a full finance function in a lean, fast‑moving business.
