General Practitioner or Rural Generalist – Regional Victoria

About the role

Connecting the Docs, in partnership with health services across regional Victoria, is seeking passionate General Practitioners, Fellowed GPs (VR GP), GP Registrars or Rural Generalists to join community‑focused teams. Opportunities span a range of beautiful towns such as Swan Hill, Echuca, Mildura, Kerang, and many others, offering the chance to make a genuine impact in vibrant rural settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary‑care services to diverse patient populations.
• Manage a wide variety of clinical presentations and acute presentations typical of rural practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including CEOs, Chief Medical Officers and Clinical Leads.
• Participate in mentorship, both as a mentor and mentee, to foster continuous learning.
• Contribute to community health initiatives and regional health service development.

Required profile

• Qualified GP Registrar, Fellowed GP (VR GP) or Rural Generalist with Australian or recognised overseas credentials via the SIMG Expedited Pathway.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient‑centred care in rural or regional environments.
• Willingness to work flexibly across part‑time, full‑time or multi‑site arrangements.
• Strong collaborative mindset and interest in career development within a connected health network.
