Senior Medical Science Liaison

About the role

The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field‑based, customer‑facing position focused on building scientific relationships with key medical experts (KMEs) across therapeutic areas. The role involves up to 70% travel and a mix of face‑to‑face, virtual, telephone and email interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage KMEs, develop and execute multi‑channel engagement plans, and record interactions in the CRM system.
• Provide balanced scientific education, facilitate advisory boards, and support investigator‑initiated research and company‑sponsored trials.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contribute to brand strategy, and deliver medical updates, insights and competitor intelligence.
• Generate approved medical presentations, stay current with literature, and attend conferences to summarise findings for internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in science, pharmacy or medicine.
• 3+ years of experience in the biopharma industry, preferably in rare disease therapy or neurology.
• Strong communication skills, ability to convey complex data to diverse audiences, and a collaborative team mindset.

Required skills

• Scientific expertise in Biogen products, disease states and competitor landscape.
• Proficiency with CRM databases for tracking HCP interactions.
