Financial Controller – Business Partnering & Automation

About the role

We are seeking a commercially sharp Financial Controller who will act as a true business partner to the CEO and Fractional CFO. You will transform raw financial data into actionable insights, drive profitability, and automate finance processes within a fast‑growing Australian manufacturing and services group.

Key responsibilities

• Produce clear P&L reporting across multiple entities and track project‑level margins.
• Translate balance‑sheet and P&L metrics into high‑impact narratives for non‑finance audiences.
• Own and update integrated three‑way forecasts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) on a weekly basis.
• Serve as primary financial owner of the group’s cloud ERP platform, overseeing AP, AR, payroll, intercompany consolidations and statutory lodgements.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior management accountant in a multi‑entity environment.
• Exposure to manufacturing WIP costing, project revenue recognition, asset utilisation and import/FX landed‑cost accounting.
• Strong mindset for technology and automation.
