Finance Officer (Accounts Payable & Receivable)

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Officer to join IBAC’s Finance team in Melbourne. The role focuses on managing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions in line with government requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process end‑to‑end accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, adhering to payment terms.
• Maintain compliance with IBAC policies and the Financial Management Act 1994.
• Reconcile vendor and customer statements, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly AP/AR reports and update dashboards for senior management.
• Support additional finance activities as outlined in the position description.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of AP/AR experience within the Victorian Government sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with accounting or financial systems.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
