Experienced Accountant – Assurance Services

About the role

PWC Australia is seeking experienced accountants to join its Assurance practice across any of its Australian offices. You will work on complex audit engagements, helping clients improve governance, detect fraud risks and enhance the reliability of their financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle assurance tasks – planning, testing, reviewing and reporting on large, complex client engagements.
• Conduct financial investigations, prepare audit reports and assess areas prone to fraud or misstatement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with market‑leading clients by delivering high‑quality service.
• Lead, mentor and grow a diverse, high‑performing audit team.
• Enhance project management, leadership and networking skills with support from a dedicated coach and Partner.

Required profile

• Strong collaboration abilities and experience shaping audit strategies with cross‑functional teams.
• Deep knowledge of internal controls and proven experience assessing, designing and documenting control environments.
• Demonstrated capability to coach and mentor junior colleagues while building effective internal relationships.
