Deals Accountant

About the role

The Deals Accountant will join PwC Australia’s Deals Advisory team, providing high‑quality financial insight and rigorous analysis to clients across M&A, capital financing and corporate strategy. You will work closely with senior advisors and clients to create, realise and protect value throughout the deal lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate financial reports and data‑driven analysis to support smarter business decisions.
• Conduct financial investigations, valuations and due‑diligence for acquisitions, disposals, mergers and capital‑raising transactions.
• Ensure compliance and accuracy of financial data throughout engagements.
• Leverage emerging technologies and digital tools to enhance client deliverables.
• Contribute to sector research and thought‑leadership within the Deals practice.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a consulting, advisory or client‑facing corporate environment within a Deals or transaction context.
• Post‑graduate qualifications such as CA/CPA, CFA, MBA, Masters in Finance or Applied Finance are highly regarded.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good understanding of the Australian market, corporate finance principles and capital‑markets dynamics.
