Assistant Manager – Business & Private Bank

About the role

ANZ is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the Business & Private Bank in Melbourne. You will work closely with Relationship Managers to deliver strategic and operational priorities for commercial and high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Relationship Managers in managing client portfolios and responding to queries promptly.
• Maintain accurate client documentation in line with ANZ policies and procedures.
• Extract and analyse financial statements, cash‑flow forecasts and other complex reports to assess lending risk.
• Identify acceptable risk levels, maximise profit, and uphold ANZ’s risk appetite.
• Escalate risks and issues proactively and support the complaint resolution process.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a collaborative ‘one‑team’ approach.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Understanding of risk management principles and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and stakeholder collaboration.
• Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
