Accountant – Industrial Operations Finance

About the role

Virbac Australia is seeking a driven Accountant to join its Finance team, focusing on Industrial Operations. Based in Milperra with regular visits to Penrith, you will support month‑end closing, balance‑sheet reconciliations and provide insight into manufacturing variances, fixed‑asset spend and inventory health.

Key responsibilities

• Execute timely month‑end closing procedures and prepare detailed balance‑sheet reconciliations for Industrial Operations.
• Report fixed‑asset spending and forecasts accurately, maintaining audit trails and adhering to sign‑off policies.
• Collaborate with the IO Finance Business Partner to analyse manufacturing costs, product variances and identify trends.
• Assist in reporting slow‑moving and obsolete inventory to mitigate financial risk and support standard costing management.
• Utilise and maintain the ERP system, contributing to the rollout of the upgraded ERP scheduled for early 2027.
• Identify and implement improvements in reporting workflows and data collection for the IO team.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Degree in finance/accounting or equivalent; working towards CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of manufacturing logic.
• Proficiency with systems and data, particularly ERP environments.
