Account Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Account Manager to join our Sales team in Australia, working remotely with occasional office days. The role involves developing customer relationships, uncovering new business opportunities, and driving a territory plan for Clarivate's library and research solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals by meeting targets and proactively identifying upselling opportunities.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reporting to management.
• Collaborate with customers throughout the sales cycle, from need identification to closing.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans across Clarivate’s portfolio, including Ex Libris and Research & Analytics.
• Build relationships with diverse buying centers such as university librarians, CIOs, and government stakeholders.
• Lead complex solution‑selling engagements involving multiple product lines.
• Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities and partner with product and solution teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in sales.
• 5+ years of account management, business development, or sales experience with enterprise solutions.
• Experience managing complex customer relationships in higher education, libraries, research organizations, government, or information services markets.
• Master’s degree or higher is a plus.
