Account Executive – Splunk Strategic Public Sector Accounts

About the role
This senior sales position will own two of Splunk’s most strategic public‑sector accounts in NSW, plus a portfolio of safety and emergency agencies. You will deepen existing relationships, expand the footprint, and become the go‑to executive for high‑impact outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi‑year account strategies for TfNSW, NSW Police and other safety agencies.
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets across licences, support and services, focusing on multi‑year enterprise agreements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CIOs, CTOs and senior government officials on cyber resilience and operational visibility.
- Navigate NSW Government procurement processes, including panels, open tenders and whole‑of‑government agreements.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and coordinate cross‑functional pursuit teams.
- Build and manage the partner and systems‑integrator ecosystem to accelerate delivery.
Required profile
- 5–10 years of strategic or major account management experience with high‑value, multi‑year deals.
- Strong cybersecurity background with proven ability to discuss SIEM, SOAR and threat detection with C‑level executives.
- Successful track record selling enterprise software or SaaS to Australian government or public‑sector organisations.
- Established senior relationships within NSW Government or ability to build them quickly.
- Australian citizenship and eligibility for a government security clearance.
Required skills
- Deep knowledge of Splunk, SIEM and SOAR technologies.
- Experience selling cybersecurity, observability, AIOps or data‑analytics solutions.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and rigorous forecasting discipline.
- Ability to lead large, multi‑stakeholder negotiations and value‑based selling conversations.
