Tax Accountant

About the role

UniSuper is seeking a Tax Accountant to support its tax governance and compliance across the Fund and related entities. You will work closely with Corporate Services, Investments and external partners to ensure accurate tax reporting and strong governance.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax compliance obligations including income tax, GST and FBT.
• Assist with tax provision calculations and reporting activities.
• Prepare and support business activity statements and workpapers.
• Contribute to financial reporting and operational tax activities.
• Provide tax support across Corporate Services and Investments, including investment vehicles.
• Collaborate with the Fund's custodian to ensure accurate tax reporting.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Collaborative team player with solid foundational tax knowledge.
• Proactive problem‑solver with effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• General tax knowledge across income tax, GST and FBT.
• Financial acumen and ability to analyse tax data.
• Strong planning, organising and monitoring capabilities.
• Experience in superannuation or financial services, ideally with investment tax exposure.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
