Senior Procurement Consultant

About the role

Argon & Co is expanding its Procurement Consulting team across major Australian cities. The role offers the chance to develop procurement transformation expertise while working with leading organisations on strategic sourcing, cost optimisation and capability improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for clients.
• Analyse client spend data, contracts and procurement insights to identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Work within project delivery teams to optimise and upskill client procurement functions.
• Support and lead workstreams, mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
• Create business cases for procurement transformation initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of digital procurement capabilities.
• Assist business leaders in sales, marketing, systems and business development.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in management consulting, preferably with exposure to procurement, sourcing or supply‑chain projects.
• Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
• Proven ability to deliver projects or manage workstreams in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Adaptable, accountable and able to manage workload and flag risks early.
