Senior Manager - Controls QA

About the role

As Senior Manager – Controls QA in Group Operations, you will lead the first‑line control testing and quality assurance function across a large business portfolio. You will shape testing methodology, ensure risk‑based, evidence‑driven assurance and provide actionable insights to senior leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve control testing methodologies, quality standards and assurance practices.
• Oversee delivery and quality of control testing activities, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk frameworks.
• Use data, analytics and automation to identify trends, emerging risks and control weaknesses.
• Translate testing results into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
• Partner with senior business leaders, risk specialists and assurance teams to influence decision‑making and drive remediation.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team of QA and control testing professionals.

Required profile

• Significant experience in control testing, quality assurance or risk management within a financial services environment.
• Proven leadership skills with ability to coach and develop senior‑level teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and influence senior stakeholders.
