Procurement Officer – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Sydney)

About the role

An exciting 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity is available for a Procurement Officer to join a well‑established organisation in Sydney. The role blends high‑volume procurement and procure‑to‑pay activities with month‑end accounting responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders in a high‑volume environment.
• Onboard vendors, maintain master data and manage vendor relationships.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the Accounts Payable team.
• Support month‑end processes, including journals, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with continuous process improvements across the finance function.

Required profile

• Previous experience in procurement, P2P or finance with strong purchase‑order processing.
• Exposure to high‑volume procurement environments.
• Experience supporting month‑end accounting, journals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Full Australian working rights and access to a personal vehicle.

Required skills

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar ERP system.
