Onsite IT Technician – Port Melbourne

About the role

KMTech, a managed services provider, is hiring an Onsite IT Technician in Port Melbourne through its recruiter NextGen HR. You will be the face of the company working directly with clients to keep their systems running, providing hands-on technical support across a variety of environments and building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support to clients, resolving issues efficiently and professionally
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues to minimise downtime
• Perform system maintenance, updates and installations
• Escalate complex issues where required while keeping the client experience in hand
• Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and system improvements

Required profile

• Certificate III in Information Technology
• MS-900 Fundamentals certification (or willingness to obtain it)
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues
• Willingness to obtain OH&S and Working at Heights certifications within the first 6 months
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, able to work independently and as a team player

Required skills

• Strong understanding of IT security basics and remote support tools
• Problem-solving, adaptability and time management
• Desirable: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
