General Manager Transact & Save - Business & Private Banking Technology

About the role

Group Technology at ANZ is recruiting a General Manager for Transact & Save Technology covering Business & Private Banking. The role is accountable for the technology strategy, platforms and digital capabilities supporting customer deposits, transaction banking and Private Banking & Advice, partnering with senior executives to keep platforms secure, stable and fit for purpose while improving customer experience and banker productivity. It is a full-time, permanent position based in Melbourne or Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technology partner to senior business leaders across the end-to-end customer proposition for Private Banking, Advice and Deposits
• Align technology strategy, priorities and roadmaps with business objectives and operational requirements
• Lead the delivery and operational performance of technology services, platforms and strategic initiatives across Business & Private Banking
• Drive platform modernisation, optimisation and continuous improvement
• Ensure technology assets remain secure, compliant, resilient and aligned with governance requirements
• Manage strategic vendor and service provider relationships
• Influence and engage senior stakeholders on alignment, investment decisions and delivery
• Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing team

Required profile

• Significant experience leading large-scale enterprise technology portfolios and teams in complex organisations
• Proven success partnering with executives to align technology strategy and investment with business priorities
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing technology roadmaps and driving transformation
• Experience managing business-critical technology services in highly regulated environments
• Previous technology experience in Retail and Business & Private Banking is advantageous
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications and industry certifications are highly regarded

Required skills

• Strong understanding of enterprise technology platforms, service management, governance and operational support models
• Ability to leverage AI capabilities and emerging technologies and to engage C-suite stakeholders
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
