National Industrial Business Development Manager

About the role

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is seeking an experienced National Industrial Business Development Manager to join its Melbourne office. The role focuses on driving industrial sales, building customer relationships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the country‑wide industrial sales strategy aligned with global and regional product plans.
• Prepare, monitor and continuously improve account strategies, development plans and business forecasts.
• Identify and acquire new VIS target customers while strengthening existing relationships to grow HWL business.
• Negotiate contracts within commercial parameters and coordinate with product teams on industry‑specific solutions and pricing.
• Support local sales activities and communicate progress of initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar business development or sales role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
• Proven track record of securing new business opportunities and achieving sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Freight forwarding and logistics knowledge (highly desirable).
