Senior Business Development Representative

About the role

Join BlackLine as a Senior Business Development Representative and drive growth across Australia and New Zealand. You will lead outbound outreach to senior finance leaders, work closely with Account Executives, and shape early‑stage conversations for priority enterprise accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Own outbound execution across a portfolio of enterprise accounts using phone, email, LinkedIn and targeted campaigns.
• Engage senior business leaders—including CFOs, CIOs, Financial Controllers and Heads of Shared Services—through research‑driven, value‑focused outreach.
• Collaborate with Account Executives on territory planning, account prioritisation, pre‑pipeline forecasting and shared pipeline quality.
• Translate external signals such as earnings calls, investor updates and hiring activity into timely outbound messaging.

Required profile

• A proactive, resilient approach to outbound prospecting, treating a “no” as a learning opportunity.
• High coachability with a strong desire to learn, adapt and quickly absorb feedback.
• Confidence to start warm, value‑driven conversations with senior stakeholders over the phone.
• Team‑first attitude and ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, marketing and operations.

Required skills

• Experience with modern sales stack tools: Salesforce, Gong Engage, Orum, 6sense, Highspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lusha, ZoomInfo and Gemini Enterprise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of turning research into compelling outreach.
