HR Manager

About the role

A global engineering, construction and maintenance services provider is growing in APAC and, through its partner Timeo-Performance, is looking for an HR Manager in Brisbane, Australia. The role leads operational Business Units and delivers end-to-end HR strategies, policies and practices, working with the Business Unit Leadership Team to support the organization's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Safety excellence: embed safety best practices, encourage hazard identification and compliance, run a rehabilitation and return-to-work program, and share safety information with management and the WHS team.
• People and culture: strengthen a purpose-driven culture, communicate the BU's mission, vision and values, support employee well-being, leadership development and career pathing, and contribute to workforce planning and engagement.
• Strategy and business development: align with the BU's strategic plan, give feedback on customer needs and opportunities, and build internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Improvement and transformation: partner with the BUGM on people strategies for change, design HR processes that support innovation, and build HR frameworks for agility using technology and metrics.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification (Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's) in Human Resource Management.
• 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2-3 years in a medium to large business HR role.
• Knowledge of local labour laws, workplace regulations and ethical practices.

Required skills

• Talent acquisition and retention, learning and development, wages and benefits, HR metrics and reporting, and workforce planning.
• Strategic HR planning, policy development, conflict resolution, grievance handling and change management.
• Diversity, equity and inclusion strategies.
• Familiarity with HRIS, data analytics tools and digital transformation in HR.
