Group Director, Human Resources

About the role

The Group HR Director leads all talent management strategies for Modaxo ANZ across a multi-location environment, reporting to the Group leadership team and Business Unit leaders. The role covers employee development, leadership capability building, engagement and retention, onboarding, HR strategy, workforce planning, risk mitigation, HRIS management and HR due diligence and integration of acquired businesses. It also advises HR Business Partners across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Group HR strategies and policies aligned with business objectives
• Lead learning and development, including strategic leadership programs, and oversee succession planning
• Drive a consistent approach to compensation and benefits and oversee performance and talent management
• Build talent development and retention programs and measure engagement, satisfaction, wellness and retention
• Support M&A activities, including HR due diligence and people integration
• Oversee HR compliance and reporting, and HRIS processes
• Advise on workforce planning and organisational design
• Oversee recruitment, including leadership hiring, and help build an employer brand and scalable onboarding
• Provide dotted-line coaching and advice to HR Business Partners

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, with professional certification such as AHRI
• Extensive HR experience in both operational and strategic roles
• Knowledge of employment regulations and HR practices
• Experience managing HR processes during mergers or acquisitions preferred
• Willingness to travel internationally as required

Required skills

• Proficiency in HRIS software (ideally Workday) and advanced Excel
• Coaching, communication, influencing and change management skills
• Project management and organisational skills
• Certification in Hogan Assessments desirable but not mandatory
