Director, Talent Strategy and Organisational Effectiveness
EY · Brisbane
Job description
About the role
EY is looking for a Director, Talent Strategy and Organisational Effectiveness to help shape the future of Talent in EY Oceania. As an embedded member of the Talent Leadership Team, you will lead the development of an integrated Talent strategy and the evolution of the Talent operating model, connecting priorities across portfolios and accelerating strategic change. The role can be performed from any EY office across Australia and New Zealand, and may be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.
Key responsibilities
- Shape and drive an integrated Oceania Talent strategy and roadmap, keeping an enterprise view of initiatives, dependencies, sequencing, investment needs, gaps and execution risks.
- Advise internal stakeholders such as Talent, Global and Technology teams so the Oceania Talent operating model aligns with global strategy, platforms and standards.
- Co-design and drive simplification, standardisation, digitisation and connection of Talent services based on employee and leader needs.
- Translate strategy and operating-model choices into practical change and ensure benefits are realised sustainably.
- Highlight external trends, emerging workforce practices and global and regional developments to inform TLT strategy.
- Define an enterprise workforce-planning framework and skills architecture, including consistent Service Line planning.
- Establish an enterprise workforce intelligence agenda combining data, business forecasts, labour-market intelligence and emerging trends.
- Assess how technology, AI, business-model, market and regulatory shifts affect workforce shape, skills and location, and guide choices against inclusion, critical-capability and human-judgement guardrails.
- Build enterprise capability to redesign work across processes, technology, roles, skills and delivery models.
Required profile
- Senior experience leading complex enterprise Talent, workforce or functional transformation.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead through ambiguity and build enterprise frameworks without displacing business or portfolio accountability.
- A record of disciplined, technology-enabled delivery through consultation, capability building and benefits realisation.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of contemporary Talent operating models, workforce strategy, organisational effectiveness and work design.
- Commercial, financial and technology fluency, including responsible AI, data, risk and human oversight.
- Ability to translate strategy and emerging technology into practical choices.
What we offer
- Career development with future-focused skills and world-class experiences.
- Flexible work arrangements.
- A benefits package including a yearly wellness incentive, an extra 8 weeks of flex leave per year, and family-friendly policies including up to 26 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave.
- A competitive salary open to negotiation depending on skills and experience.
