Founding Tax Accountant - AI Product

About the role

Visory is looking for its first dedicated tax accountant to join the MindLedger AI product team. You will work directly with the founders, product, and engineering teams to embed deep Australian tax and compliance expertise into AI‑driven workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to build and refine AI agents that handle end‑to‑end tax compliance tasks.
• Review and validate self‑improving edits generated by the agents, ensuring technical correctness and best‑practice adherence.
• Audit completed workpapers, trace them back to source data, and decide if they are review‑ready or need revision.
• Diagnose failures in agent outputs—whether due to incorrect instructions, data issues, or judgment gaps—and implement appropriate fixes.
• Deliver high‑quality tax services to Visory’s customers while continuously improving the product through each return prepared or reviewed.
• Help define quality standards, professional processes, and the future structure of the accounting team.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of Australian tax law and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience delivering tax services to small‑ and medium‑size businesses.
• Ability to work closely with product and engineering teams in an agile, fast‑moving environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality outcomes over time‑tracking.
