Food Service Assistant - Casual

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Food Service Assistant on a casual basis to support food operations at OASIS facilities serving USG, GOA, contracted employees and business travelers. The position is casual with a roster system, typically up to 20 hours per week, with shifts published in advance and covering peak service times.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assigned custodial tasks inside and around the dining facility, including polishing floors and steam cleaning carpets with custodial equipment.
• Assist cooks with food preparation.
• Help deliver a highly rated customer service experience.
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety requirements at the site.
• Report low stock supplies to the Head Chef.
• Carry out other reasonable duties as requested.

Required profile

• Certificate in Hospitality.
• Drivers license.
• Australian or US citizenship.
• Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Australian security clearance or TS/SCI US clearance with polygraph; security clearance is required and must be retained.
• At least 18 years old and fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg and physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking and bending.
