Reservations All Rounder (Part-Time)

About the role

Novotel Surfers Paradise, a 408-room hotel in the heart of Surfers Paradise with dining, a pool, tennis courts, function rooms and a kids' corner, is looking for a part-time Reservations All Rounder (minimum 30 hours per week, casual) to join its reservations team. You will act as the backbone of the department, supporting several functions while keeping high customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage guest reservations by phone, email and online channels
• Answer guest inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly
• Maintain accurate reservation records in booking systems and databases
• Handle payment processing and verify booking confirmations
• Work with housekeeping, front desk and management to keep operations running smoothly
• Manage cancellations, modifications and special requests
• Support colleagues and provide backup coverage
• Resolve booking discrepancies and guest issues quickly
• Keep up to date on room availability, rates and promotions
• Exposure to group reservations

Required profile

• Proven experience in reservations, customer service or hospitality
• Strong verbal and written communication, organisation and time management
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Customer-focused, problem-solving and attention to detail
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities
• Knowledge of the hospitality or travel industry preferred

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservations management systems and booking software
• Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
• Experience with Opera Cloud, resaweb and ACDC (additional)
