Data Analyst – Finance Team (Melbourne)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join the Finance team of a leading home‑care provider in Melbourne. The analyst will turn raw data into strategic insights that support investment, operational and commercial decisions across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial and statistical models to inform strategic and operational decisions.
• Collect, clean and analyse large data sets to evaluate revenue, cost drivers, pricing models and risk.
• Monitor, analyse and report on financial KPIs, trends and variances, providing predictive insights.
• Conduct commercial benchmarking and market intelligence to shape pricing and service strategies.
• Create and maintain dashboards and performance reports using Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
• Support business units with ad‑hoc reporting and translate findings into executive‑level recommendations.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science or a related quantitative discipline.
• Proven experience in statistical modelling, hypothesis testing and quantitative analysis.
• Strong ability to communicate complex findings to senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Power BI, Tableau or Looker for data visualisation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros/VBA).
• Statistical modelling and trend/anomaly detection.
