Civil Designer/Drafter – General Civil

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Civil Designer/Drafter to develop high‑quality civil design models, drawings and documentation for a variety of infrastructure projects ranging from local roads to renewable energy facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil design models using 12d Model, covering earthworks, roadworks, grading, DDA pedestrian access, pavements, drainage networks and open channels.
• Produce AutoCAD drawings and technical documentation that meet client, industry and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct geometry assessments and swept‑path analysis to ensure designs are practical and safe.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to design reviews, clash detection and safety‑in‑design activities.
• Prepare technical inputs for Bills of Quantities, balancing safety, constructability and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering qualification (Associate Degree, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree).
• At least 2 years of civil design and drafting experience on urban, rural, commercial, residential, industrial or mining projects.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for a Baseline security clearance.
