About the role
HammondCare Scone is looking for a Bingo Volunteer to run bingo games for older residents, including those who are frail, at its residential aged care home. The role is part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme, which links elderly people with volunteers from their local community. You will bring your energy, laughter and love of bingo to make every game a highlight of the residents' day.
Key responsibilities
- Call the numbers during bingo games and cheer along with the residents
- Help older residents enjoy a classic favourite and create moments of joy, connection and fun
- Act as a social visitor, contributing to improved quality of life and reduced isolation through regular visits
Required profile
- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare, plus an NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Availability between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday; a suitable day and time can be discussed with the Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator
