Chair Exercise / Walking Volunteer, Aged Care Home

About the role

HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for a Chair Exercise Volunteer for its residential aged care home in Scone. You will bring fun, gentle energy to help residents move and stay active while remaining seated comfortably. No experience is needed.

Key responsibilities

• Help older residents maintain mobility and boost their wellbeing through gentle movement activities.
• Lead chair exercise sessions set to music, with options such as dancing, yoga, Pilates or fitness.
• Share happy moments and laughter with residents, helping them feel less isolated.
• Visit regularly, either weekly or fortnightly depending on availability.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older.
• An NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
• Availability for a one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday.
