Audit Manager - Group Operations

About the role

ANZ’s Internal Audit function is seeking an Audit Manager for Group Operations to provide independent third‑line assurance over governance, risk management and controls across Retail, Business & Private Bank Operations and Third‑Party risk activities.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to audit engagements across Retail, Business & Private Bank Operations, and Third‑Party risk, including Critical Operations (CPS 230) and Physical Security coverage.
• Deliver audit activities within defined timelines and scope, proactively managing workload and escalating risks, dependencies, or delays.
• Prepare audit findings, recommendations and deliverables with clear, evidence‑based insights.
• Assist in risk identification and audit scoping using knowledge of operational processes, risks and customer outcomes.
• Apply Internal Audit methodology and Global Internal Audit Standards to ensure high‑quality, well‑documented, defensible audit work.
• Utilise Non‑Financial Risk frameworks to support sound risk assessment and operational resilience.

Required profile

• Reports to the Audit Director – Retail & Business & Private Bank Operations & Third Party.
• Full‑time permanent role based in Melbourne (with possible locations in Sydney, Brisbane, Manila, Bengaluru).
