Associate Director – Highways

About the role

The Associate Director will lead complex highways and road infrastructure projects across Queensland, working from our Fortitude Valley, Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast offices in a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large‑scale highways and road projects for state and local government clients, including TMR.
• Provide technical oversight and direction to multidisciplinary design teams.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Support work‑winning activities such as proposals and strategic pursuits.
• Mentor and develop engineers across the Brisbane team.

Required profile

• Extensive civil engineering experience with a focus on highways/road design.
• Proven leadership experience within a consultancy environment.
• RPEQ registration (essential).
• Demonstrated ability to mentor staff, manage stakeholders and drive project outcomes.
• Commercial mindset with experience in work‑winning.
