Accounts Receivable/Payable Officer – Meat Industry

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable/Payable Officer to join our finance team in a fast‑paced meat processing and distribution business. The role is essential for accurate invoicing, timely collections, and effective supplier payments, supporting our focus on pork and beef products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the accounts receivable ledger, issue invoices, statements and credit notes.
• Proactively follow up overdue customer accounts by phone and email.
• Allocate and reconcile customer payments, investigate discrepancies and disputed invoices.
• Prepare aged receivables and collection reports for management.
• Process supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders and run payment cycles.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Provide general administrative support to finance and management teams, including data entry and document preparation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit control or debt collection.
• Familiarity with accounts payable and general finance administration.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
