Accounts Receivable Manager – Lead AR Team

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Manager will lead a small AR team and own the end‑to‑end receivables function for a national organisation. This hands‑on leadership position focuses on cash‑flow optimisation, collections, and continuous process improvement in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a small Accounts Receivable team.
• Manage collections, cash allocations, invoicing and credit activities.
• Drive cash‑flow outcomes and reduce overdue debt.
• Monitor customer accounts, handle disputes, escalations and payment plans.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, banking partners and internal stakeholders.
• Support month‑end reporting and complex reconciliations.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives.
• Assist with debtor factoring requirements and credit‑management processes.

Required profile

• Strong AR experience, preferably with people‑leadership exposure.
• Deep understanding of collections, cash allocation and credit management.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Hands‑on, adaptable and comfortable in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.
• Process‑improvement mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP).
