Accountant – Client Management & Financial Reporting

About the role

We are looking for an early‑career Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients, meet reporting deadlines and ensure a high level of client satisfaction. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Accountant and the Manager, gaining exposure to tax, financial reporting and strategic meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Income Tax Returns (ITR) for assigned clients.
• Compile financial statements and support senior staff in tax planning meetings.
• Assist in VCFO and management reporting meetings as required.
• Draft responses to client queries for senior approval.
• Track weekly utilisation and communicate workload changes to managers.
• Review and allocate client correspondence, escalating uncertainties.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and system improvements.
• Proactively suggest enhancements to client processes and internal workflows.

Required profile

• Early‑career professional, not a graduate, seeking progression toward senior accounting roles.
• Ability to follow direction from senior staff while taking ownership of assigned tasks.
• Strong communication skills and proactive attitude toward workload management.
