Senior Manager, Diversified Credit (Retail SME)

About the role

The Senior Manager, Diversified Credit (Retail SME) will lead credit quality and portfolio performance for the Retail SME segment within ANZ’s Group Risk – Business & Private Banking division. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into sound credit decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Retail SME team, overseeing credit decisions and portfolio quality outcomes.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and contribute to governance forums to influence risk outcomes.
• Build team capability through coaching, mentoring and improving credit proposal quality.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, risk culture, and effective portfolio monitoring and reporting.

• Adaptable, open‑minded approach able to pivot to evolving business needs and align with ANZ’s 2030 Strategy.
• Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder‑management capabilities.

• Ability to lead teams through change with clarity and conviction.
• Advanced credit assessment, decision‑making and portfolio risk‑management experience.
